As a strategic accounting firm, our services focus on planning. We assist with business growth planning, financial planning, retirement planning, business succession planning, tax planning, and more. We always have our eye on the future and on opportunities to attack problems proactively. We generally meet with our business clients quarterly so we are up to date on what is going on in their lives and their businesses. This allows us to plan ahead to take advantage of opportunities in tax law, entity structure, and more.

Our services can be divided into two categories: strategic accounting services and compliance-related accounting services.

Compliance Services

Compliance services help our clients comply with tax law. They are things like preparing a Form 1120S S-corporation tax return for a manufacturing business, or a Form 990 tax return for a nonprofit. But even when performing compliance services like preparing tax returns, we think strategically. We ask questions like, “how can we prepare this 990 tax return in the best way to allow our client to use it for fundraising purposes?” or “How can we best report the income and expenses on this tax return to take advantage of opportunities in the tax law to minimize our client’s taxes now and in the future?”

Strategic services

Strategic services help our clients get the results they want in their business and personal lives. There is no set list of strategic services because they are the result of a collaborative creative process between us and our clients. In our periodic business advisory meetings and frequent communication with our clients, we stay abreast of changes in our clients businesses and lives. We bring this together with our knowledge of tax law, understanding of business operations, and so on. The result is different in every situation, but it always helps move our clients closer to their goals.
